Plan Your Visit

Thinking about visiting First Baptist Church Winnie? We’re glad.
Walking into a new church can feel like a big step, so here’s everything you need to know before Sunday. Come as you are — we’ll save you a seat.

First Baptist Church Winnie

120 E Pear St, Winnie, TX 77665

Sundays

Parking wraps the church: lots on the north, west, and east sides, the vacant lot on the north side, and both sides of the street to the east — you’ll always find a spot close to a door.

Worship meets in the tan metal Family Life Center — the building running parallel to Hwy 124 — with entrances on the north, south, and west sides. Come in any of them; we’ll be glad to see you.

What to Expect

Our services are built around God’s Word. We’ll sing, we’ll pray, and we’ll open the Bible together. At FBC Winnie we study the Bible book by book and verse by verse — because we believe God’s Word is true, it doesn’t change with the times, and studying it points us to a relationship with Jesus Christ. You’ll hear teaching aimed at real life: not just knowing the Bible, but applying it.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. You’ll see everything from jeans to dress clothes on a Sunday morning, and you’ll fit right in either way. We’re more interested in you being here than in what you’re wearing.

What about my kids?

Our nursery is open at every service for babies and toddlers, birth through age 3. You can worship knowing your littlest ones are cared for. During Sunday worship, Kids Connection gives children age 4 through 2nd grade their own children’s church in the children’s wing, teaching the Bible at their level while you’re in the service.

Sunday School at 9:15 has classes for every age, and kids in 3rd grade and up worship with their families. On Wednesday nights, kids get their own groups with dinner or a snack — The Bridge for 3rd–5th grade and Kids Connection, our Pre-K–2nd grade group in the children’s wing — while parents are in Adult Worship. Families are at the heart of this church. Your kids will be welcomed, taught God’s Word, and looked after like our own.

Wednesdays

Wednesdays Wednesday night is family night at FBC Winnie — there’s a
group for every age (the meals are for the student groups): – Ascent

– The Bridge (3rd–5th grade) — starts 5:45 PM, dinner at 6:00 PM, in

If you want to understand the Bible better, Wednesday night is where to
be.
A note from our pastor “If you don’t currently have a church home — or
if it’s been a while — I’d love to meet you this Sunday. Come find me after
the service and introduce yourself. There’s a place for you and your family
here at FBC Winnie, and I believe you’ll be blessed you came. And if you’d
like to talk first, I’d love to help you — feel free to give me a call. It’s why
I’m here: (409) 460-2314.” — Pastor Brian Johnson, Senior Pastor
