The first step of discipleship is the first goal of our outreach: to introduce individuals to God. The Creator of the universe is higher than all things, but he wants to know you. Here at FBC Winnie we develop a knowledge and relationship with God through reading of the Word and development of a prayer life. This is the bedrock principle of our church: to Know God.
In Hebrews 10:25 we’re told not to “forsake the assembly,” and it isn’t hard to see why; people are stronger together. By building relationships with each other we gain a sense of community and – importantly – accountability. Through group bible study, Sunday school, and the occasional BBQ we’re committed to Growing Together!
This is the sum of the parts – to be like Christ. As He died for all men, we are also expected to be supernaturally generous. A Christian who Knows God and has Grown Together with other Christians will naturally Pay It Forward. This is our ultimate mission: the fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission through community outreach!
Welcome to First Baptist Church of Winnie Texas. It is our goal to reach families with the message of Jesus Christ. We want to help them have a more fulfilled life and teach them how they can truly experience the best that God has for their life. Each of our ministries has this goal in mind and they are all part of our plan to help those around us come to know Christ.
Sunday School
9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
We have Sunday school classes for everyone from children to adults. Our classrooms are open to all visitors and welcome anyone to come and join us! We have a great time in Sunday school and consider it an integral part of Growing Together.
Morning Service
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday Service
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Our Wednesday Bible studies are book by book, verse by verse investigations of the Bible. If you want to understand the Bible better, Sunday and Wednesday evening services are where you need to be! Show up at 5 p.m. for free dinner!

Our Ministries
BLAST
BLAST is the name of our children’s ministry. We believe that children are very important to Jesus and they are important to us as well.
SPARK
SPARK is the name of our youth ministry. The name was chosen by the youth themselves as they wanted to be the spark that ignited the flame to reach our community for Christ.
WINGS
WINGS is the name of our women’s ministry. This stands for Women IN God’s Service. This ministry strives to help women be all that God has called them to be.
Men's Ministries
Men’s Ministry. The Bible teaches as iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another. Our men’s ministry strives to help men grow their walk with the Lord as they grow their relationship s with other men.
Music
Music..... everyone loves music! We are a culture where music is very important. At FBC we have an adult choir, youth choir, and children’s choir.
Outreach
"You'll know we are Christians by our love." Showing the love of Christ through both community and global outreach is our ultimate goal. This is where the rubber meets the road!
