Be Angry, Sin Not
Today’s verse is very simple to explain. However, it has profound implications. In biblical times, cities had walls around them to help protect from the enemy. If the wall was broken down, it made it easier for the enemy to attack. If you don’t control your anger, you are leaving yourself open to attacks. Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. When you give full vent to your anger, you give him opportunities to defeat you. Nothing good is accomplished when you lose your temper and act uncontrollably. As the old saying goes…. check yourself before you wreck yourself!
Don’t Be A Hater
Don’t be mean and don’t be a hater. People who are will be found out. Everyone will see the true person inside and the evil plots will backfire. I encourage you instead to be a lover. The scriptures say that by this all men will know that you are [Jesus’] disciples that you love one another! Let’s practice this not only in church, but at home, at work, and in all of our relationships. When we do, God is pleased and receives glory.
